Cryogenics
Cryogenics are used in heat treating to increase the amount of martensite in the steel’s crystal structure, increasing its strength and hardness which in turn imparts very high wear resistance to steels. Components are cooled with evaporated liquid nitrogen and can be controlled at temperatures as low as -300℉.
- -300℉, 48″ x 48” x 48” up to 5,000 lb. capacity
Peters’ Heat Treating is also capable of processing from freeze to temper without opening the door or removing parts.
- -300℉ up to +1200℉, 36W” x 36H” x 48L”.
